Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Named Champions League Player of the Season as PSG Dominate Team

UEFA announced on Sunday that Paris St Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been named the Champions League Player of the Season. The 25-year-old Georgian international was instrumental in leading the French club to consecutive European titles, recording 10 goals and six assists throughout the campaign. His impact was particularly felt in Saturday’s final against Arsenal, where he earned the decisive second-half penalty that leveled the score at 1-1 before PSG ultimately secured victory in a penalty shootout.

Kvaratskhelia leads a strong PSG presence in the official Team of the Season, joined by teammates Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, and Vitinha, the latter of whom earned player of the match honors in the final. Arsenal also saw three players included in the squad: David Raya, Gabriel, and Declan Rice.

Individual honors also went to Real Madrid duo Arda Guler and Federico Valverde. Guler was recognized as the Revelation of the Season, while Valverde received the Goal of the Season award for his impressive flick and volley, which completed a hat-trick during Madrid’s last-16 victory over Manchester City.

PSG beat Arsenal on penalties to defend their European crown on Saturday after the game ended 1-1 following extra time.
