BMW Launches Limited Edition M Series to Celebrate Nürburgring Centenary

BMW has unveiled a new collection of six special edition M cars and three M bikes to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring. The lineup centers on the theme of “BMW But Green,” highlighted by an exclusive “historical Nürburgring Green” paint finish. While the green aesthetic is the primary focus, the manufacturer confirmed that these special editions will also be available in black, a choice that somewhat contrasts with the commemorative green branding.

Each vehicle features a dedicated “100 Years” logo referencing the circuit’s 1927 opening, along with “Nürburgring since 1927” lettering and the iconic Nordschleife circuit silhouette. The exterior and interior treatments include light grey tones, contrast stitching, Alcantara steering wheels, embroidered headrests, and specific accents on the kidney grilles and wheels. These models retain the standard performance characteristics of modern BMW M vehicles, including powerful straight-six and V8 engine configurations.

Production is strictly limited to 100 units for each of the six car models—the M2, M3 saloon, M3 Touring, M4, M5 saloon, and M5 Touring—along with 100 versions of the three M bikes. Customers can begin placing orders later this month, with deliveries scheduled to commence next year. BMW has not yet announced official pricing or specific allocation details for the UK market.

The release serves as a tribute to the legendary Green Hell, a track where BMW continues to conduct extensive development work to refine the handling and performance of its performance fleet. Despite the focus on the historical green theme, the availability of alternative color options provides buyers with a broader range of choices for these limited-run collector items. The report also notes that ‘Nürburgring since 1927’ wording, and of course, the Nordschleife circuit silhouette, like the ones plastered to the back of every E46 M Sport 316i on Earth.
