National Film Award-winning actress Sunerah Binte Kamal has revealed that Thailand is her favorite destination for travel and relaxation. The actress, who is currently in the country for a film shoot, shared that she feels a unique sense of peace whenever she visits the region.
Sunerah's relationship with Thailand began in her childhood during a family trip. She later made her first solo journey there in 2018. Since then, she has visited the country more than 10 times, often choosing to return whenever she needs a break or has a few days of downtime. She attributes this preference to several factors, including the welcoming nature of the local people, their culture, and her love for Thai cuisine.
The actress feels a strong connection to the local beaches, specifically mentioning Phi Phi Island and Koh Samui, which she describes as feeling like old friends. Her most cherished memories are centered around these coastal areas. She recalls the experience of her first solo trip, during which she spent hours by the sea, watching the waves and listening to music while keeping in touch with her mother via video call.
Observing the changes in the country since her first visit, Sunerah noted that the developments have been consistently positive. She admires the ongoing improvements in infrastructure, road networks, shopping facilities, and technology. Furthermore, she appreciates how the local population maintains these advancements with care, noting that the combination of cleanliness, order, and a helpful mindset makes Thailand a place she consistently wants to revisit.
